It’s considered one of the world’s finest examples of art deco architecture. From 1967 to 1900, Playboy was emblazoned on the building’s exterior and the building served as the magazine’s headquarters. In 2000 the Palmolive building was designated as a Chicago landmark and it was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It was changed into luxury Chicago condos in 2003, with occupancy beginning in 2006.
