The best way to learn about the Gold Coast is…to take a tour and the Sun-Times reports that you will have the opportunity to do so at 6 p.m. on July 16 & August 6th. In addition tours are available on September 13th and then on October 18 at 10 a.m.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation will be providing the tours which will be two hours and you will be able to see and learn about residential real estate along Lake Shore Drive. In addition, the Astor Street Historic District is emphasized in the walking tour which includes a discussion of many elegant homes in the various period styles such as Romanesque, Queen Anne, Tudor, Art Deco and Modern.
The tours will also provide alot of insight about the historic happenings of famous people who originally lived in the Gold Coast.
